Where Art Stops Time

gallery view

The Giorgi Gallery has been a relaxed, european style space to display art and hear live music and events for the last two decades. Located within the historic firehouse designed by noted architect William Ratcliff, the Giorgi has provided a cultural base to the neighborhood around the Claremont Hotel.

The gallery offers a generous exhibit space, complete with a small stage and a Steinway grand piano, that is used for gallery shows, performances and events. To the rear of the gallery is an artist studio equipped with a large format giclee printer and sculpture garden.

On July 8th 2009 the Giorgi re-opened under new management. Rae Douglass, invited by Harriet and Francesca Giorgi, has become resident artist and director of the Giorgi. Rae brings the unique vision and studio practice that he has developed through his success creating large scale public art and architecture.
